Behind The Scenes: Rosanne Prieto

Posted on Mar 19, 2009 by L.A. Consing Lopez / 6809 Views

Let me just start off my saying that Rosanne Prieto was an absolute joy to work with.

Smile Rosanne!

She was extremely friendly and comfortable throughout the shoot. The fact that she completely trusted the Rogue team makes all the difference–ease and confidence is not one of those things that can be faked and our pictures show that Rosanne and the camera were definitely in sync.

Though sultry on the pages of Rogue, Rosanne has a kick-ass sense of humor.

Strike a pose! Nothing to it! Rogue! Rogue! Rogue!

Wide Open Spaces

We shot at T House in Tagaytay, a beautiful white house designed by Budji Layug. The house was the perfect backdrop for the shoot. Its creamy white walls and smooth curves reflected similar attributes in Rosanne.

The Rogue team and Mark Nicdao’s crew took hold control of the dinning table.

A stair is still a stair. Even if Rosanne isn’t sitting there. This is where we shot our cover.

The Talented Ms. Lobregat

Rosanne Prieto’s skin is flawless. Ines Lobregat, our make-up artist (and incidentally a cousin of Rosanne), did a fantastic job at enhancing our cover girl’s natural beauty.

Rick Diokno doing some last minute touch-ups

Rick Diokno, our hair specialist from Kiehl’s, showed us how short hair can be so versatile and so damn sexy. I’ve hoped for a girl with short hair on the cover for a while now, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect choice that Rosanne.

Walk on by, Rosanne!

Alabaster skin, indeed. And her bone structure? Patrician is the only word that can describe.

It’s a wrap (er, trench coat actually) folks!

One final note on this Rosanne-worship blog entry: What is ultimately Rosanne’s main draw is that she’s not some young girl with a lot to learn from life and the world–she is a woman who has lived a life with no regrets and who continues to live with confidence and conviction. A true Rogue woman.

Style, really is all about the editing. It’s about finding out what’s out there, what’s way out there, and what works for you. It’s also about knowing. Knowing what to appreciate, who to appreciate, and figuring out why something is so inspiring. Whether you’re talking about fashion, design, or icons, style is defined by a combination of personal expression and reacting to popular (and not so popular) culture. Gore Vidal put it best when he said, “Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn.” L.A. is the editor of Rogue’s Style Guide Section.
